Terms of service

The agreement
These terms govern your use of Microfin, provided by Edgecom Websolutions. A signed order form or an accepted subscription forms the agreement together with this document.
Your data is yours
You retain all rights in the data you put into the service. We do not acquire ownership of it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. You can export it at any time while your account is open, and during the retention window after it closes.
Fees, suspension and closure
Fees are billed in advance for the subscription period. If an invoice remains unpaid past the stated period we may suspend access until it is settled. On closure your data is retained for a window during which an export can be provided, after which it is deleted.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee; if you need one, raise it before signing and we will discuss what we can commit to.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record, for your own regulatory obligations as a lender, for keeping credentials secure, and for the conduct of the accounts you create.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
